Icosahedron

Two years ago the KR BIM Ltd team visited Tate Modern Exhibition - Olafur Eliasson: In real life. The exhibition not just broadened our minds, but encouraged us to think outside the box when it comes to the job that we do every day. So we started to play more with the light and shapes. After spending hours or creating Revit families, modelling pipes and boring ceilings you just have that inner voice whispering - lets get a bit more creative, shall we?

The form you can see below is called - Icosahedron ( or ) is a polyhedron with 20 faces. We created the form by using formulas for common geometric shapes on Dynamo Revit. We used Blender for rendering. If you get your form right the Blender lets you in the world full of possibilities to play with shapes and lights.

Take this as an encouragement to use Dynamo Revit for shape studies. If you want to try something similar - checkout the full script. Language used - Python.

Looking for Revitists that actually know what they are doing - KR BIM Ltd. Get in touch.

Or if you need high quality pointclouds - will be happy to use Faro Focus S laser scanner to help you out.

There are actually 2 things that we can't stand - outsourcing and working with low quality pointclouds.
