3D Laser Scanning
Point Clouds
Typically point cloud formats record the XYZ location of each point, along with the intensity and/or colour data (RGB value) for each point. Because of the high density of the measured points and the colour data linked to each point, point clouds often resemble high resolution 3D photographs.
KR BIM highly value transparency and clear communication in processes starting from the surveyors job until submitting ready made project to the clients. There are many factors that can affect scanning quality such as choosing the right angle, weather conditions and lighting , model of the laser and others. We are promising our clients highly detailed Revit models in order to do that- point cloud files should meet our own standards.
How it works
Our skilled team will conduct a full 3D scan survey of the building, which is then processed using specialist software to generate a point cloud file. This will be returned to you in your chosen format.
You will be able to access the data with a relevant software to visualise the area and take any required measurements.
Your data can also be imported into BIM/CAD software and used as a background reference to create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models.

We are proud to work with FARO Focus S Laser Scanner
FARO Focus Laser Scanners create accurate, complete and photorealistic 3D images of any environment or object in just a few minutes.
3D Laser Scanning offers:
Better and faster data
An accelerated end-to-end workflow due to rapid mobilization times and less time in the field
Scanning and accuracy down to 1mm
An as-built file in the format that works best for you whether that be a point cloud, mesh, CAD or Revit file
Our team is experienced in using the full potential of the scanner . We create point clouds that we are happy to work with ourselves.
